Storebought Almond Butter Taste Better? How?!
Making storebought almond butter taste better is seriously a one step process that’s way easier than you might think!
Are you avoiding legumes? Maybe you just don’t like the stories surrounding peanuts regarding mold. Perhaps there is a peanut allergy in your family. Or maybe you just don’t like peanut butter. If you have been avoiding almond butter as an alternative because of the texture, I’m here to tell you that the solution to how to make storebought almond butter taste better is SO SIMPLE!
You can buy almond butter many places. We love the almond butter from Sam’s Club. It’s super affordable. BUT it’s always separated, and the bottom is SO HARD to get through. We used to just avoid this on our pantry shelf until we figured out that the Vitamix or the Kitchen Aid is our best friend when it comes to separated or thick nut butters.
You can bring this “recipe” together in less than 5 minutes with stand mixer or a blender. You could also do this with an immersion blender, but it might just take a few more minutes to come together smoothly! Try it – we promise you’ll find the texture to be far superior than straight from the jar!
If you attempt this recipe with your Kitchen Aid stand mixer and it’s struggling, reach out! Zad has Youtube videos on how to repair a tilt head mixer or a lift bowl mixer, and we accept shipments, if you aren’t particularly handy. If you’re near us in Pennsylvania, you can also bring it to his shop for repair! Older Kitchen Aid mixers are worth holding on to, so don’t throw it away just yet when it gives you trouble!
This Almond Butter is seriously so creamy and delicious - and packs health benefits!
Almonds are also known to be beneficial to heart health. After Zad’s heart attack, we really leaned into almonds over peanut butter as we attempted to repair damage and pave a better health path forward for our family.

How to Make Storebought Almond Butter Taste Better
Chapel Hill ForgeEquipment
- 1 Stand Mixer or Blender
Ingredients
- 1 Jar Natural Almond Butter
Instructions
- Pour all the almond butter jar's contents (oil and butter) into your stand mixer fitted with a whisk or into your blender. We definitely prefer the stand mixer over the blender because it's so much easier to clean and get the almond butter out.
- Blend on medium speed until smooth. This usually takes a few minutes at most. You may want to start on a low speed on your mixer, like 2, as the oil can sometimes splash around until it starts to incorporate.
- Scrape all of the now smooth almond butter into a bowl and fit it with a tight lid. SO much easier to use and spread now!
